Terms and Conditions for Therapeutic Sessions

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions define the operational framework for sessions provided by Dr. Danae Deligeorgi and the Associates of the "Φ" Center for Cognitive Development, which operates under her scientific guidance. These terms apply to all in-person and online sessions. Your participation in a session indicates full acceptance of these terms.

Purpose: To establish a clear and binding framework of cooperation for participants in sessions, to protect participants, and to ensure the quality of services.

Practical Application: By accepting these terms and conditions, participants in sessions, Dr. Deligeorgi, and her Associates commit to the rules and procedures described below.

2. Services Provided

Sessions are provided in-person or online, following an agreement between interested parties and Dr. Deligeorgi and/or her Associates.

The quality, content, and duration of sessions remain the same regardless of the format of delivery.

Practical Application: The interested party will have the same experience and receive the same services, whether participating in an in-person or online session.

3. Session Scheduling

Sessions are scheduled in advance.
Individual sessions or session packages are available.
Availability is determined on a priority basis.

4. Charges and Payments

Payment must be completed before the start of each session, unless there is a different agreement.
Specifically for online sessions, payment must be made at least one day in advance.
Refunds, where provided, are processed through electronic payment platforms (e.g., Stripe) and may take up to 10 business days.

5. Cancellation Policy and Delay Management

Cancellations or changes must be made at least 24 hours before the session.
No-show without prior warning will be charged in full.

Emergencies: In case of an emergency that makes it impossible to conduct the session due to an impediment on the part of the interested party, the impediment must be declared as soon as possible, and a new session will be rescheduled without additional charge.

Delays: A delay in the start of the session of up to 15 minutes due to an impediment on the part of Dr. Deligeorgi or her associate is considered reasonable in advance and does not establish a right to reschedule or cancel the session on the part of the participant. In case of a delay of more than 15 minutes and up to 30 minutes as a maximum limit due to an impediment on the part of Dr. Deligeorgi or her associate, the session will be rescheduled mandatorily and without cost to the participant, without the right to a refund, in order to ensure equal treatment, consistent provision of quality services, and smooth continuation of the therapeutic process. For delays of more than 30 minutes on the part of Dr. Deligeorgi or her associate, or in cases of force majeure affecting the participant, regardless of the duration that the force majeure incident continued, a refund will be made or the session will be rescheduled, at the free choice of the interested party.

6. Confidentiality

All personal information shared during the session remains confidential, in accordance with professional, ethical guidelines and relevant data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Law 4624/2019.

Data is collected:

For the provision of personalized services and their improvement.
For research purposes and analysis, aiming to improve understanding of psychological practice.

Information will be shared with third parties only with your consent, unless there is a legal obligation to disclose or for reasons of protecting a superior interest based on reasonable objective judgment.

7. Online Sessions

Each participant is responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space for conducting the session. Any technical problems on the part of the participant that prevent the session from taking place will result in rescheduling, if immediate resolution is not possible. In case of serious technical problems, the session may be conducted by phone as an alternative solution, with the participant's consent.

8. Conduct and Safety

Participants must behave respectfully during both in-person and online sessions. Any aggressive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior may lead to immediate termination of the session without refund.

Dr. Deligeorgi and her Associates reserve the right to refuse to conduct a session or to discontinue its conduct if, in their judgment, any immediate, indirect, explicit, or implicitly inferred threat to their physical or emotional safety and integrity is identified. In-person sessions are conducted in a safe, professional environment. Dr. Deligeorgi and her Associates may request that a session be conducted with the presence of a third party, in exceptional cases where valid concerns arise regarding the safety of participants in the session.

9. Non-Violent Communication

Both parties are expected to engage in respectful and non-violent communication. Sessions should promote open and supportive dialogue, with a commitment to empathy, mutual respect, and understanding. Any form of verbal abuse, aggressive behavior, or lack of respect is prohibited and may lead to termination of services for serious cause and without refund.

10. Compliance with Greek Legislation

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Hellenic Republic. Any disputes arising from the provision of services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Athens (central headquarters). Dr. Deligeorgi and her Associates comply with all relevant Greek laws regarding data protection and the provision of education and giftedness development services, ensuring the confidentiality of participant information and the ethical conduct of sessions.

11. Limitation of Liability

Dr. Deligeorgi and her Associates are not liable for any injury or health damage that a participant may suffer during or after a session, unless it is proven that such damage was the result of intentional or grossly negligent behavior on the part of Dr. Deligeorgi and her Associates.

For online sessions, Dr. Deligeorgi and her Associates are not liable for problems related to third-party electronic platforms, the participant's internet connection, or computer and device malfunctions used by the participant.

12. Emergency Protocols

In cases of emergency and apparent risk to the life or health of a participant or a third party, Dr. Deligeorgi and her Associates are entitled to notify the competent authorities, in accordance with Greek legislation. This may include notifying mental health services or law enforcement authorities, if necessary. In case of immediate danger or crisis, please contact local emergency services.

13. Service Termination

Either party may choose to discontinue sessions with appropriate notice. It is recommended that this be discussed to ensure a smooth completion or referral process, if necessary. Dr. Deligeorgi and her Associates may terminate service provision where this is explicitly stated in these terms, as well as in case of repeated violation of these terms on the part of the participant, including non-payment or inappropriate behavior.

14. Modifications

These terms and conditions may be updated periodically.

Dr. Deligeorgi and her Associates reserve the right to unilaterally, without prior notice, and without any other notification, modify these terms and may, at their discretion, temporarily or permanently suspend part or all of their services. New terms take effect from their publication on the website. The participant in sessions understands, acknowledges, and accepts the right of the above to unilaterally, without prior notice, and without any other notification, modify, in whole or in part, the terms of use and the suspension of services on the part of Dr. Deligeorgi and her Associates, while maintaining the right to be specifically informed before each session, upon request, about any change in the terms. The participant is called in any case to proceed with regular review of the terms and conditions each time they wish to conduct a session.
